Important changes - please read

Hi All,

Due to an increase in non-members continuing to use the squash facilities we are having to clamp down on some processes.

We are aware of members booking courts for non-members to use and we know it is easy to access the courts.

We will therefore be changing the code to the squash door and this will be given out to confirmed members only. We must ask you not to pass the door code on to anyone, if someone asks you for it please direct them to me or Jen and we will provide it.

Should a non-member be deliberately provided with the code to enable them to play without having a paid membership then we reserve the right to terminate the membership of the paid member who provided it. This is also the same for anyone booking a court for a non-member to use. I am sorry to be so direct but it is grossly unfair that we have people using our facilities without paying.

To clarify, we do allow some guest use of the facilities where a paid member brings a non-member for a game to show them the facilities or to support their return to squash. We have tried to be flexible on this and allow common sense to prevail, however, if a game becomes regular, for example a weekly or fortnightly slot with the same player, they must also become a member.

In addition to the above and to try and support the clubs cost reduction targets, we are going to trial switching the heating off on the courts from 6pm on a Saturday - 2pm Monday. We have a very, very low court take up between these hours and therefore do not anticipate this affecting any of our members significantly. We will however review in 2 months and therefore ask if anyone finds this a problem to let us know during this time.

We hope everyone understands the steps we are taking.

To enable the change in code to the door we need to relocate the defibrillator, as soon as this is done we will start contacting you with the new code.

Thanks,
Lee and Jen
